Dental Implants in Bristol
A failing smile can feel completely confidence-shattering. Loose teeth, gappy smiles and poorly-fitting dentures can make us feel like hiding behind a hand and shying away from social events.
And the effects can be much further-reaching than just aesthetics. Loose or missing teeth can ruin our enjoyment of the food we once loved and confine us to a diet of soft foods.
If this sounds familiar, you may have wondered if it’s too late to restore your smile and start living life to the full again.
Dental implants from Dr Alfonso Rao and the Queen Square team Clinic let you do just that. They are a permanent replacement for natural teeth, identical in both form and function to the real thing.
What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants utilise a series of titanium implants situated in the jaw, which fuse with the bone to form a secure root.
Titanium implants can replace anything from a single tooth for a full row or arch.
And nothing is off the menu – implants let you eat the foods you love again. You’ll also see confidence come flooding back and a profound improvement in overall wellbeing.
No wonder our patients often tell us their dental implants are life-changing.

Dental Implant FAQs
Is there any aftercare with dental implants?
We’re committed to looking after our patients. We strive to get the best results for you, even after your treatment has come to an end. That’s why we have created our aftercare plan. Our guarantee covers any post-treatment remedial costs and accidental damage or complications. We have a five-year guarantee in place for your implants which starts the day your treatment ends.
How long does it take to get an implant?
It may take several appointments for our team to plan treatment and produce your implants. Surgery time is generally around two hours and you’ll receive a temporary crown immediately after your surgery. If time is of the essence, ask us about Same Day Teeth or All-On-4 implants which can achieve a stunning transformation in a day.
How long until I can eat normally?
You should only eat soft food for the first 24 hours after surgery and you can begin reintroducing more challenging foods back into your diet very shortly afterwards.
How long will dental implants last?
When you take proper care of your dental implants, dental implants can last a lifetime.
