The Inman Aligner is a simple straightening system popular with adults who have experienced a relapse after wearing braces in the past. This custom-made appliance moves the teeth gently into the perfect position in an average time of 6-16 weeks.

How does it work?

The Inman Aligner applies gentle pressure to both the front and back surfaces of the teeth using a lingual bar and a coiled spring. This dual pressure technique realigns the teeth significantly faster than alternative straightening methods.

What are the advantages?

One of the biggest advantages of the Inman Aligner is that it’s removable, meaning that you can eat without making major diet changes and brush your teeth without hassle.

The appliance also achieves perfect results in an exceptionally fast time frame, so you won’t need to wait long to enjoy your beautiful new smile. As it works so quickly, the Inman Aligner can also be more cost effective than traditional braces because you won’t need to come in for as many adjustments.

Overall, the Inman Aligner is a simple, removable orthodontic system that brings you the results you want in an incredibly short space of time.

The treatment process

When you attend your consultation at Queen Square Dental Clinic, we will assess your teeth to make sure the Inman Aligner is a suitable choice for you. The Inman Aligner is used predominantly to treat minor issues with front teeth. It is generally unsuitable for those with more severe orthodontic problems, but we provide plenty of excellent brace systems and will help you choose the best one to straighten your smile.

If you decide to go ahead with the Inman Aligner, we’ll make some impressions of your teeth to be sent off to the laboratory. These will be used to create your bespoke aligner.

Once your Inman Aligner is ready, we’ll be able to fit it. To make sure the treatment is completed within the predicted time frame, it’s important that you keep the brace in for 16 to 20 hours a day. We’ll invite you back to the practice every 2 to 3 weeks so we can check your progress and make adjustments if necessary.

Will I need to wear a retainer after treatment?

As with all brace systems, wearing a retainer following treatment is essential as it stops your teeth from relapsing into their previous positions.
