Born in Italy, Dr Alfonso Rao graduated with distinction from the University of Chieti. Until 2009, he worked at hospitals in Caserta, Napoli and Pescara as an oral surgeon before moving to England. Since then he has worked in numerous clinics between Bath, Bristol and Cheltenham.
As the owner of Queen Square Dental Clinic, Dr Rao believes strongly in 21st century dental technology. He is passionate about continuing his education and spent three years at the Eastman Dental Institute of London, where he completed a three year Diploma in Implant Dentistry. He also has a Masters from the Global Institute for Dental Education in Los Angeles, which he obtained in 2014*
Dr Rao’s advanced training and vast knowledge provides him with the expertise to successfully provide a number of implant solutions to patients including replacing a single tooth, replacing multiple teeth, denture stabilisation using dental implants and the Straumann Pro Arch Teeth in a Day Solution.
He uses state-of-the-art x-ray technology and 3D treatment planning software to ensure precise placement of bone grafts and dental implants.

Graduated from the University of Bristol in 1999. Following this he trained as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal United Hospital in bath for three years developing his surgical skills, including the removal of wisdom teeth and the treatment of anxious patients using intravenous sedation. During this time Mark achieved Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Mark has provided patients with the option of dental treatment using sedation since 1999 and is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry. Mark has also completed a 3 year course in Implant Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute.

Joe graduated in 1992 from the University of Glasgow and remained in the city for vocational training in general dentistry. A year of study at Newcastle Dental School then led to a Masters Degree (MSc) in Restorative Dentistry in 1994. During a further two years in the hospital system, he gained a Fellowship in Dental Surgery achieving the award for best performance in those examinations for 1995. In 1996 Joseph was appointed as a specialist registrar at Bristol Dental Hospital and completed his Membership in Orthodontics there in 1999 and a further Masters Degree by Research in 2000. Joe is responsible for all Orthodontic treatments.
Joe currently is Chair of the South West regional advisory board to NHS England. He also has a special interest in adult orthodontics and offers a full range of Orthodontic braces.

Dip Dent Roma, Specialist Endodontist
Dr Massimo Giovarruscio has vast experience in aesthetic dentistry, endodontics and restorative dentistry. He is a highly skilled professional with more than 18 years of dental experience under his belt. He has a reputation within the dental profession as an excellent endodontist, clinician and postgraduate lecturer. As well as being a GDC accredited specialist in endodontics, Massimo currently teaches endodontics at King’s College London Dental Institute, imparting his knowledge onto both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Massimo specialises in the restoration of endodontically treated teeth as well as endodontic treatment itself. He uses the operating microscope to carry out his work and is regarded as an opinion leader in the field of endodontics. He lectures globally and has had many articles published in international journals. Massimo has written a number of endodontic manuals and chapters. Richard Moore is a highly qualified and experienced oral surgery specialist.
He earned his BDS in 2002 at the University of Birmingham and completed an externship in oral surgery at the University of Illinois, Chicago before pursuing further qualifications in Canada.
Richard also works diligently to pass on what he has learned, lecturing in Oral Surgery at the University of Leeds and the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Richard’s professional interests are wide-ranging: he is an expert witness with the General Dental Council, an advisor to N.I.C.E, and is an active reviewer for a number of dental academic journals. He holds a particular interest in advanced dental restorations (such as dental implants, all-on-4, and zygomatic implants) and third molars.
Outside dentistry, he teaches Advanced Life Support and medical emergency management.

Dr Dominic Sinson graduated from Cardiff University in 2010. Dominic has worked in a variety of settings both in hospitals and practices. In 2014 he was awarded a place on the specialist training pathway in Periodontics with Kings College London at Guys Hospital, which he completed in September 2018 and awarded a Distinction in Master of Clinical Dentistry (Periodontology) alongside a Membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Periodontology. Dominic is registered on the Specialist List for Periodontists treating his patients as a specialist alongside his interest in Dental Implants.

Frederico Ferreira LMD has graduated from Porto, Portugal, in 2005. Before coming to England, Frederico held a post at the University as a clinical assistant, working in both a private hospital and a private practice. Frederico has worked as a Clinical Support Manager for one of the largest Dental Corporates within the UK, where he has helped many other clinicians.
Currently Frederico works at Queen Square Dental Clinic as a dentist with a keen interest in Endodontics and Microscope Dentistry. He is also working towards gaining his MSc in Endodontics at the prestigious King’s College London. Frederico is also a Key Opinion Leader, for the award winning German microscope brand CJOPTIK (for the UK). Having worked as a Dental nurse in Surrey for 5 years, Saskia came to Bristol to study Dental Hygiene and qualified from Bristol Dental Hospital in 1994 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene. Since her qualification, Saskia has worked in a variety of Dental Practices in and around Bristol. 2002 saw her complete the second part of her teaching certificate for Further Adult Education and she was fortunate to be offered a job as a Tutor Dental Hygienist in the School for Dental Care Professionals at Bristol Dental Hospital.
As a Hygienist, Saskia gets the most satisfaction from seeing the vast improvements in patients oral health when successfully treating periodontal disease and from helping nervous patients overcome their fear of treatment. Saskia now manages her time between her busy family life, working at Queen Square Dental Clinic, and also Bristol Dental Hospital where she is a part time Hygiene Tutor.

Emily trained and qualified from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, receiving a joint diploma in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. Moving to Bristol in 2016, she worked in various NHS and private practices before joining the team at Queen Square Dental Clinic in August 2017.
Before training as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist, Emily completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Speech and Language Therapy. She prides herself on using all of her experience to offer a holistic, patient-centred approach to Dental Hygiene.

Rebecca is a Dental and Maxillofacial Radiologist who has worked as a Consultant at the University Hospitals Bristol since 2008. Rebecca obtained a dental degree from Leeds University in 1996. She spent several years in General Dental Practice and then commenced staff grade positions in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Bath and later Oral Medicine at Bristol Dental Hospital. Prior to commencing four years of specialist training, Rebecca obtained an MSc (Distinction) in Oral and Maxillofacial radiology. Within the specialty, her main interests lie in Head and Neck ultrasound and Cone Beam CT.
Rebecca is involved in University teaching and examining at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and lectures regularly in the South West to provide core CPD for the dental team.
